Với lô đất 5x20m điển hình, nằm trên một khu quy hoạch mới có tốc độ xây dựng nhanh chóng, nhóm thiết kế bày tỏ sự may mắn được làm việc với chủ đầu tư có sự đồng điệu về một không gian ở mang đậm tính cá nhân, một cặp vợ chồng trẻ có sở thích làm vườn và mong muốn cùng nhau tạo ra một không gian “hướng nội” với yếu tố con người, ánh sáng và cây xanh làm chủ đạo.
Cấu trúc không gian đóng mở với nhiều nút giao thông nhỏ, xen kẽ các khoảng trống chức năng, gợi nên sự bất ngờ và khó đoán khi di chuyển bên trong công trình. Kết hợp với hiệu quả ánh sáng và bóng đổ, các điểm nhìn càng được thay đổi mới mẻ và không gây nhàm chán qua từng thời điểm trong ngày.
Mặt tiền được phân mảng đơn giản, đặc của tường và rỗng của cây xanh hạn chế tối đa tầm nhìn và ánh nắng hướng Tây bên ngoài ngoài tác động, dành mọi sự tập trung cho không gian sống bên trong.
Chiếm trọn tầm nhìn từ các khu vực phòng ngủ là mảng xanh phía sau với các khoảng trống linh hoạt, khi là tiểu cảnh đường dạo, khi là sân vườn trồng rau, thay đổi chức năng theo nhu cầu mong muốn.
Công trình hoàn thành trước đợt giãn cách dài do ảnh hưởng của dịch Covid-19, giá trị sử dụng của khu vườn càng được thấy rõ khi đã thu hoạch được những lứa rau sạch phục vụ cho bữa cơm hàng ngày.
Chúng tôi chụp hình vào một ngày mưa bão, những yếu tố nổi bật của đường nét kiến trúc bị thu hẹp dần dưới điều kiện ánh sáng hạn chế. Nhưng thay vào đó lại bất ngờ về không khí sống nhẹ nhàng và nhiều xúc cảm mà công trình mang lại tại thời điểm ấy.
