Uncle’s House là một công trình dự thi giải thưởng Kiến trúc Xanh – SPEC GO GREEN 2016 hạng mục KTS trẻ
“Giữa năm 2015, chúng tôi trở lại vùng cao nguyên Di Linh để thực hiện một công trình đã nhận lời thiết kế một năm trước. Việc thi công ở một vùng thị xã cơ bản khiến cho việc kiếm vật liệu để phục vụ ý đồ thiết kế trở nên nan giải, tốn rất nhiều thời gian và công sức.
Cùng với một người chú am hiểu vùng hơn, chúng tôi rong ruổi nhiều ngõ ngách và tìm kiếm những thứ vô định… Chúng tôi nói chuyện nhiều về cuộc sống, về những dự định, về nghề nghiệp riêng của mỗi người. Từ những trao đổi ấy, vài ngày sau Chú đến gặp chúng tôi và chia sẻ dự định mới của mình.
Gia đình gồm có hai vợ chồng và hai con nhỏ trai gái đủ đầy. Cuộc sống hằng ngày xoay quanh cái sạp giày dép nhỏ ngoài khu chợ tấp nập ồn ào vốn có, từ sáng sớm tới tối mịt mùi cao su đắp đầy não. Chợ sắp chuyển, cơ chế chợ mới bất cập, không phù hợp.
Chú muốn chuyển sạp của mình về khu xa trung tâm hơn, bớt xô bồ hơn và bán căn nhà hiện tại để cất một căn nhà khác phù hợp hơn với những nhu cầu và muốn có chút hoài tưởng về hình ảnh cuộc sống yên ả phần lớn Chú đã trải qua cùng đại gia đình của mình trước đây. Cảm hứng lạ thường với những chia sẻ ấy, chúng tôi suy nghĩ ngay đến ý tưởng và bắt tay vào thiết kế.
Mảnh đất mới nằm sát đường quốc lộ, cũng không kém phần bụi bặm ồn ào. Nhiệm vụ của chúng tôi phải giải quyết chúng và đáp ứng được nhu cầu cũng như những trăn trở của Chú… hai đứa trẻ vốn dĩ được sinh ra nơi phố thị, chúng cần được tiếp cận nhiều hơn với thiên nhiên để lớn lên một cách trọn vẹn.
Uncle’s House mang dáng dấp của vùng cao nguyên Di Linh, kết hợp nhiều vật liệu cũ, mới và các vật liệu tự nhiên được xử lý ở mức độ vừa đủ để không mất đi khí chất vốn có của chúng.
Không gian chứa đựng đầy nắng gió ngay chính trong căn nhà. Vườn rau, “ao” cá và một khoảng sân gạch cùng những cái cây của ông dượng, của anh hàng xóm… hơi thở thời gian của các vật liệu đã cũ tưởng chừng như bỏ đi, được gội rửa, thêm sức sống mới.
Từ đó tạo cho căn nhà một cảm giác vừa lạ lẫm vừa thân thuộc, chứa đựng nhiều hoài niệm trong các khoảng không gian, khí chất đặc biệt của vật liệu cũng như những kỷ niệm trong quá trình thi công.
Ngôi nhà là nơi bọn trẻ có thể leo trèo, chơi đùa cùng cây cỏ, phụ mẹ trồng rau, cùng cha nuôi cá, từ đó chúng học được vô số điều hay ho mà xã hội bây giờ đang mất dần… Căn nhà tuy nhỏ nhưng không nhỏ, mà thật ra là nó nhỏ.
